Join us as we recognize our graduating African American students with the bestowal of the Kente cloth! Originally developed by the Ashanti people of West Africa, the Kente cloth was a prestigious royal cloth reserved for ceremonial events and special occasions. Today the Kente cloth continues to be recognized as a symbol of honor, and the presentation of the Kente cloth to our graduating African American students underscores the major accomplishment which they have achieved.
