Community Memorial Foundation offers scholarships to students pursuing hospital health careers who reside in the CMH service area.
Examples of health career opportunities in which employment is offered at Community Memorial Hospital (list is not inclusive):
- Nursing
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech Pathology
- Exercise Physiology
- Medical Imaging Technology
- Medical Technology
- Dietetics
- Social Work
Scholarship Information
- The maximum of any scholarship awarded will be $6,000
- The amount to be awarded will be determined by the Scholarship Committee
- The scholarship monies awarded to each recipient will be divided in equal sums payable each year of the student's program, payable in July and January
- Scholarship payments may only be used by students to pay for tuition and fees at an educational organization and for fees, books, supplies and equipment required for courses of instruction at such an educational organization
- Scholarship payments may be paid in lump sum if applicable
Eligibility Criteria
- Individuals pursuing study in health care career programs
- Academic excellence
- Applicants must attain a minimum ACT score of 22 to be eligible for a scholarship
- Acceptance at a college or university accredited in the field for which the scholarship is granted
- Consideration of financial status will be given
- Scholarship recipients may reapply for consideration after their original scholarship has been paid in full
- Reside/resided in the Community Memorial Hospital service area or graduated from a high school in the service area
