Our scholars need you!
Attention all MSOE students and staff that are interested in volunteering in the community:
The Milwaukee Academy of Science is a local STEM school that instructs students in K4-12.
We have exciting new opportunities for volunteers that we will be launching at the beginning of November, such as our MATH tutoring program for grades 2-5, and we are seeking new volunteers to work with our scholars! The program will occur Monday - Friday during school hours, and times can be flexible throughout the morning and afternoon. What we do ask is that a volunteer commit to weekly sessions for a minimum of a semester, but volunteers can definitely serve the entire year!
In addition, we are always looking for volunteers to work with our primary academy students in our Early Literacy program, that occurs Monday - Friday from 2-3 PM. We provide the training and all of the materials for each program, so that our volunteers can focus entirely on tracking forward with their MAS scholars! Again, we ask that a volunteer commit to a 1 hour session once a week, for at least a semester.
We also welcome any professional or student that would like to be a part of our Professional Exploration speaker series, in which a professional can present to our junior academy and high school students about their career and/or academic experiences in college, and how their education and personal experiences have guided them toward success.

Thank you, and we hope to hear from you!
