MSOE's very own General Studies Adjunct Assistant Professor, Mark Zimmerman, has produced a book of poetry centered on notable figures from history, fiction, and beyond such as Walt Disney, Phineas T. Barnum, Sojourner Truth, and Dr. Frankenstein. Our winner will receive an autographed copy - a rarity indeed.

ONE copy will be raffled off.

 

To sign up head on over to the Walter Schroeder Library Circulation Desk to fill out an entry slip:

  • You must be a current MSOE student, faculty, or staff member
  • You can enter once per book
  • The drawing will be held on Friday, May 13th @ 12:30pm

Colleges Against Cancer Bags Tournament

MSOE's Colleges Against Cancer organization is hosting a bean bag tournament to raise money for cancer research. There will be free food, we had funding approved by SGA already. There will be cash prizes for first and second place. Five dollars per person to play. Other activities will be provided for down time between games such as Spikeball, frisbee, etc.

Students will throw outdated textbooks on the athletic field in 3 different categories: distance, style, accuracy. We will also be giving away vintage MSOE t-shirts.


MSOE FIRST Robotics Hack-a-thon

Teams of 3-4 are tasked with building and programming a Lego robot that is capable of completing various challenges. Teams will compete against others to win prizes, fame, and bragging rights. Drinks, snacks, and food will be provided to fuel the creativity.

Part-time Valet Attendant Needed for Upscale High-Rise Condominium Association

An upscale high-rise condominium association located in downtown Milwaukee, is currently seeking a part-time valet attendant.  Applicants must be available to work between 12 and 20 hours per week. *This is not a temporary job.. This is a permanent position. There are times when it is fast-paced.

Starting wage: $9.20 per hour. (No tipping allowed. Official holidays receive holiday pay.)

Schedule: Varies—weekends, evenings, and holidays

Approximate hours per week: 12-20

Position available immediately.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writingbr> Capable of physical tasks, such as shoveling, sweeping, and lifting 50 lbs.
Reliable, courteous, responsible personality
Comfortable working around a diverse group of people

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Park and deliver cars for residents/guests in a timely fashion
Be helpful and courteous to all residents/guests
Assist residents/guests with packages
Open garage mail room entrance door for residents/guests
Sweep, hose down garage
Remove snow around garage entrance (seasonal)
Keep track of vehicles parked: monthly resident parking, cars in storage, motorcycles, bicycles
Other duties as assigned by Garage Supervisor or Manager

The system requested that I change my login password. I went to pwd.msoe.edu and changed my password which worked.

However, now my Outlook password is wrong and I don't see "Change Password" when I go through the Account Settings area. Anyone else experience this?

The last week of classes has finally arrived! No matter what your summer plans are, I'm sure you are looking forward to the end of the term. Yes, you're busy, and yes, the weather and all of the great Milwaukee Festival Announcements have you wanting to do anything but think about school and money, BUT there are still scholarship dollars available all year long!

 

Many of these are exclusively for MSOE students, so take advantage and allow yourself an even more relaxing summer knowing you'll have extra scholarship dollars available to you next fall
